Joey Votto Scheduled to Play for Dragons Tonight

Dayton, Ohio-Cincinnati Reds all-star first baseman Joey Votto is scheduled to play for the Dayton Dragons tonight (Friday) in the Dragons final home game of the 2012 season at Fifth Third Field. Game time is 7:00 p.m. as the Dragons host the Great Lakes Loons.

Votto's appearance tonight will be his third for the Dragons this week as he returns from left knee surgery. Votto also played for the Dragons on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Lawn tickets are available for tonight's game. Call the Dragons Box Office at (937) 228-2287 to purchase.

Votto is currently on the Reds disabled list and has not appeared in a Major League game since July 15. He is batting .342 with 14 home runs and 49 runs batted in for the Reds this season. Votto, the 2010 National League Most Valuable Player, started the All-Star Game for the National League in July.
