Peoria, IL - The Peoria Chiefs were rained out Friday night in the home finale against the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Peoria Chiefs Stadium. The Chiefs finished the year 36-32 at home this season and stand at 62-73 overall with three games remaining in Kane County to finish the season starting Saturday. The tickets for Friday's game can be redeemed for any game in the 2013 regular season during the months of April and May.

Notes: In a pregame ceremony, Dustin Geiger was named the 2012 Chiefs MVP while Michael Jensen was named Pitch of the Year and Sheldon McDonald won the annual Ryne Sandberg AwardThe Chiefs start the final series of 2012 in Kane County Saturday at 6:30 p.m...The Chiefs are likely to send Friday's scheduled starter LH Jeff Antigua (2-2, 1.53) to the mound and the Cougars counter with RH Kellen Moen (4-10, 5.05)...The broadcast can be heard, starting with the pregame show at 6:15 p.m., at www.peoriachiefs.com/listenlive which also has downloads for a free app on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android.
