
Kernels and Swing Rained Out

Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
Friday nights game between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and the Swing of the Quad Cities has been postponed due to heavy rain and unplayable field conditions.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 5 pm and will consist of two 7-inning games.
The Kernels will start Robert Mosebach (7-4) in game 1 and Tommy Mendoza (8-5) in game 2 with Anthony Ortega (1-2) pitching Sunday. Quad City will start Donnie Smith in game 1 and Victor Moreno in game 2 with lefty Tyler Norrick starting Sunday.
Saturday's doubleheader will be the first that the Kernels have played all season.
Both games can be heard on the internet at www.kernels.com, and in eastern Iowa on The Zone ESPN 1600 AM starting at 4:40 pm with the South Slope Communications Pre-Game Show.
