
Ka'Aihue Leads Z's to 8-4 Win. Z's Home for Fourth of July

PAPILLION, NE - Kila Ka'aihue delivered three hits and drove home four runs as the New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers 8-4 in the series finale on Friday night. The win gets the Z's a split in the four game series.
Ka'aihue played four seasons for Omaha from 2008 - 2011 and burned his former club on Friday night with a key two run double in the second inning and a two run single in the fourth inning.
The Z's offense had two big innings, a four run second and four run fourth in the win. Austin Nola also had a two hit night for the Z's.
Andre Rienzo delivered six innings, allowing 2 runs, one earned on five hits and earned his second win. Rob Morey followed him up working the final three innings for the save. Omaha starter Buddy Baumann took the loss, allowing four runs in a inning and two thirds.
The Zephyrs are 38-42 on the season, trail Round Rock by nine games.
