Pimentel is also the first overall monthly award winner since Jorge Soler was named Chicago Cubs minor league player of the month in July of last season.
Iowa plays the final game of a four-game series tonight against the Round Rock Express at Principal Park. First pitch is set for 7:08 p.m. CT. The game will be preceded by the Iowa Cubs' seventh annual Citizenship Ceremony, and followed by the second of two special holiday fireworks shows.
