Getting Out of the Gate
So far this season, the K-Wings have been able to get off to quick starts. Including the preseason, Kalamazoo has registered goals in the first two minutes in two of their three games.
Colbert Assigned to Kalamazoo
Defenseman Will Colbert was assigned to the K-Wings on Thursday by the Worcester Sharks. In his first pro game, Colbert recorded an assist during the K-Wings 4-1 victory.
Lighting the Lamp
Forward Darryl Lloyd scored two of the K-Wings four goals on opening night. Lloyd's two goal outburst is the most by a K-Wings player since the 2006-07 season, when former K-Wing B.J. Radovich notched a pair against the Elmira Jackals.
Homecoming
Opening weekend has been a homecoming for defenseman David Sloane. A native of Ambler, Pennsylvania, Sloane recorded his first pro point last Thursday against Reading.
