The Mudcats snapped a four game winning streak last night after falling to the visiting Blue Rocks 4-1 at Five County Stadium. RHP Sean Furney gets the start tonight for Mudcats as they look for a win in the finale of the five game series. Carolina leads the series 3-1. Furney celebrates his birthday tonight and will turn 24 while making his fourth start of the season with the Mudcats. He is currently 0-2 with a 5.29 ERA and has allowed 10 earned runs over 17 innings pitched with the Mudcats this season. He last pitched on 5/28 against Myrtle Beach and allowed a season high six earned runs on eight hits over four innings pitched. Furney has lost two straight starts and is looking for his first win with the Mudcats. He started the year in Rome and was 2-1 with a 2.77 ERA over four starts (26.0ip, 20h, 9r, 8er, 5bb, 12so). He was also 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA over three appearances out of the bullpen (11ip, 10h, 6r, 5er, 5bb, 8so).

Today's game begins at 7:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium in Zebulon and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
