Dash's Tuesday Game Suspended in Second Inning

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (June 2, 2015) - Tuesday's Dash-Salem Red Sox game has been suspended with Winston-Salem up 2-0 with two outs in the bottom of the second inning at BB&T Ballpark.

The date of the completion of the suspended game will be announced at a later date. The Red Sox return to Winston-Salem from June 18-21.

Fans with tickets from Tuesday's game can exchange them for any remaining home game except July 4 and the final three All-You-Can-Eat-Nights (June 16, July 28 and August 18). For full details, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287.

Before play was suspended, Chris Jacobs singled to lead off the second before moving to third on Omar Narvaez's double. Nolan Earley delivered an RBI single to break the scoreless tie. Two batters later, Salem starter Ty Buttrey walked Michael Suiter to load the bases. T.J. Williams' infield single brought in Narvaez and Adam Engel's sacrifice fly plated Earley to put Winston-Salem on top 3-0.

The game was officially suspended on a 1-0 count to Jake Peter with two outs and runners on first and second in the second.

After a scheduled off day Wednesday, the Dash head to Lynchburg for a four-game series over the weekend. Winston-Salem returns to BB&T Ballpark for a four-game set Monday at 7 p.m. against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. For tickets, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.
