Judah Named Frontier League Player of the Week for Third Time

NORMAL, Ill. - Sam Judah was selected as the Frontier League player of the week for the third time this season. The outfielder for the Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, is the only player this season to be selected three times for the award. Judah was named the player of the week for the week of July 28 - August 3.
During the week, Judah batted 15 for 32 for a .469 average. He drove in eight runs while hitting two home runs and three doubles during the week. For the season, Judah is now batting .327 with 11 home runs and a league leading 59 RBI.
Judah is in his fourth year in professional baseball. Last season with the Sioux City Explorers he finished with a .284 batting average while hitting 16 doubles and five home runs.
"Sam has been having a great year and it great to see him being honored. He has been a key part of our offense all season," said CornBelters Field Manager Brooks Carey. "This is well deserved award for Judah."
This is the first season that the Frontier League has named a player and pitcher of the week. The awards are chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation.
