Ralston, NE - Michael Joyaux scored his third goal of the season in the second period but it wasn't enough as the Green Bay Gamblers handed the Omaha Lancers their tenth-straight loss with a 4-1 victory in front of 3,167 fans at Ralston Arena on Saturday night.

A three-goal first period propelled the Gamblers to a 3-0 lead after twenty minutes of play. The first tally was a power-play goal and came 10:07 after the puck dropped to start the game. Nick Poehling took a pass at the top of the circle and fired a shot over the shoulder of Lancers goaltender Zackarias Skog. The goal was Poehling's 13th goal of the season with assists from Marc Michaelis and Cam Lee for the 1-0 Green Bay lead.

Less than five minutes later, Green Bay took a 2-0 lead courtesy of Jason Dhooghe. Michael Joyaux's pass off the end boards behind his own net was intended for Jacob Bryson. The pass however went by Bryson's stick and was intercepted by Dhooghe. After taking the puck, Connor Murphy fed the turnover to Dhooghe who roped a slap shot by Skog for the two-goal lead. The goal was Dhooghe's seventh of the year with the only assist to Murphy who forced the turnover.

Nick Poehling struck again on the power play late in the first frame. Cam Lee took the puck at the top of the circle and sent it cross-ice to Poehling at the top of the left wing circle. After taking a few steps in, Poehling let a wrist shot go that beat Skog for a 3-0 lead. It was Poehling's second of the night and 14th of the year. Cam Lee recorded his second assist of the game while Gordi Myer notched his 13th of the year.

In the second period Omaha pulled back within two goals thanks to Michael Joyaux's slap shot from just inside the blue line. After a face-off win by Patrick Harper in his first USHL game, Joyaux let a shot go that beat Gamblers goaltender Kevin Reich on his glove side at 10:51 of the middle period. Joyaux's goal was his third of the year with the lone assist to Harper, his first USHL point.

Quickly after the Lancers got on the board, Jared Spooner put Green Bay back up by three goals. On a loose puck at the top of the crease, the Bismarck, ND native slid it by the blocker of Zackarias Skog for his fourth of the year and put Green Bay back out to another three-goal advantage. Assists on the play were credited to Chris Grando and Ryan Smith. Grando's assist was his third point of the weekend.

Omaha netminder Zackarias Skog stopped 23 of 27 for his ninth loss of the season.
