
Joseph Named Eastern League All-Star

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox and the Eastern League of Professional Baseball Clubs announce today that Baysox catcher Caleb Joseph has been named to the 2013 Eastern League Season Ending All-Star Team as the utility player. The team is voted on by Eastern League managers and coaches, sportswriters, radio and television broadcasters and other members of the media.
Joseph leads the league in total bases (242), is second in RBI (94) and hits (148), fourth in extra base hits (52) and tied for fourth in home runs (20). The Baysox career games played leader (422) is currently batting .298 and he leads the team in home runs, runs batted in, hits, doubles and total bases. He also participated in the Eastern League All-Star Game in July and was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending June 16.
Joseph is the first Baysox player to be named to the season ending All-Star team since designated hitter Joel Guzman and second baseman Ryan Adams received the honor in 2010.
