Jones activated from DL; Campbell reassigned

Fort Wayne, IN - Fort Wayne Wizards first baseman Daryl Jones was activated from the disabled list and outfielder Michael Campbell was reassigned to the San Diego Padres extended spring training camp in Peoria, Arizona.

This is the second roster move on Thursday for the Wizards, after Matt Handley was sent to Fort Wayne from the Padres high-A team, Lake Elsinore Storm, in the California League.

Jones returns to the Wizards line-up hitting .241 with 15 runs batted in. He is second on the team with seven doubles.

Campbell was hitting .231 with one home run and seven runs batted in.

WIZARDS GAME DAY INFORMATION

The Wizards wrap up their four game homestand against their in-state rival South Bend Silverhawks (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate) with a 6:00 p.m. game today and a 7:00 p.m. game on Friday.

Thursday's game is another Thirsty Thursday promotion, offering $2.00 20 oz. soft drinks and 16 oz. beers.

Friday's game will be the first of 15 post-game fireworks shows the Wizards will feature in 2007.

1st Source Bank and the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization sponsor all the games between the Wizards and Silverhawks in 2007.
