Taylorsville, Utah. - The Iowa Wolves (18-21) dropped their seventh straight road game Thursday night, falling to the Salt Lake City Stars (14-29), 101-96, at the Lifetime Activities Center.

The Wolves are now 3.5 games out of first place in the Midwest Division with 10 games remaining.

Two-way forward Amile Jefferson paced the Wolves with 17 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 53.8% from the floor. The former Blue Devil has now recorded a double-double in each of his last four games while increasing his season total to a league-leading 28 games.

Elijah Millsap and Justin Patton tied for a team-high with 18 points on the evening. Millsap added eight rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots. Patton registered seven rebounds and two steals in the loss.

One-tenth of a point was all that separated the two teams in field goal percentage, with both teams shooting just under 44.0%.

Neither team led by more than six points during a game that included 14 lead changes and 11 deadlocked scores.

The Wolves couldn't find their shot from behind the arc, shooting 4-of-22 from deep and just 1-of-18 excluding guard Michael Bryson. Bryson finished with 11 points while shooting 3-of-4 from deep.

Anthony Brown and Melo Trimble rounded out players in double figures for the visiting team, finishing with 15 points and 13 points respectively.

All five starters finished in double figures for the Stars, led by former Iowa State standout Georges Niang's 20-point performance.

The Wolves return home for a one-game homestand against the Erie Bayhawks on Sunday, March 4 at 3:00 p.m.
