
Delaware 87ers to Host Go Green Night Presented by Delaware Solid Waste Authority

WILMINGTON, DE - The Delaware 87ers will host Go Green Night presented by Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) to celebrate green environmental initiatives on Monday, March 5 when the team faces the Wisconsin Herd at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Sevens players will wear special-themed jerseys featuring the DSWA logo that will be auctioned off to fans to benefit Keep Delaware Beautiful, a state affiliate of the national Keep America Beautiful organization. Fans can use promo code GOGREEN at www.sevens.com/promo to purchase discounted tickets. Twenty percent of tickets purchased using the promo code will also benefit Keep Delaware Beautiful.
Keep America Beautiful's mission to inspire and educate people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community environment. The nonprofit organization envisions a country where every community is a clean, green beautiful place to live. Through a variety of national programs and initiatives with more than 620 community-based affiliates and partner organizations, they engage more than 5 million volunteers in their effort to end littering, improve recycling and beautify America's communities.
Representatives from DSWA will be recognized in a special on-court ceremony and will be presented with their own custom jerseys. Fans will have the chance to meet with representatives from DSWA at their table in the KidZone to learn about the importance of recycling and disposing of waste properly. DSWA's mascot, Trash Can Dan, will also be in attendance. In addition to Go Green Night, DSWA serves as the presenting partner of the 87ers Education Day games in Delaware.
