WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned goaltender Tristan Jarry from the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today.

Jarry recently completed his fourth season in Edmonton, where he went 23-26-6 with a 2.74 goals against average, .907 save percentage and three shutouts.

In 2013-14, Jarry helped the Oil Kings to the Memorial Cup, making 32 saves in a 6-3 victory over the Guelph Storm in the championship game. He finished the regular season with a 44-14-3 record and led all WHL goaltenders in wins (44), goals-against average (2.24) and shutouts (T-8). During his championship season, Jarry was selected to the Eastern Conference First All-Star Team and was nominated for the WHL Goaltender of the Year award.

Jarry, 19, was Pittsburgh's second-round pick (44th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft. He appeared in 159 games for Edmonton over his four-year career, compiling a record of 93-49-10 with a 2.37 goals against average, a .913 save percentage and 17 shutouts. Jarry has a career postseason record of 17-7-2.
