NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 11)- Brahmas goaltender Brett Jaeger has proven hard work does pay off he has been recognized for the Oakley Central Hockey League (CHL) Goaltender of the Week for the week of February 4-10.

Jaeger posted three straight wins this week improving his record to 6-4. His low 2.08 goals against average and .919 save percentage have led the Brahmas in their run for a playoff position. Jaeger only let in a combined six goals on 84 shots he faced against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and the Youngstown SteelHounds.

Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong believes Jaeger's outstanding play as of late is well deserving of the award.

"Jaeger continues to come in here and give one hundred and ten percent in practice. He has made some key saves in crucial games when the team needed him the most," said Wildfong.

Prior to joining the Texas Brahmas, Jaeger put up outstanding numbers in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). The Alberta native played three seasons in the ECHL and had a 51-32-15 career record with the Fresno Falcons and Long Beach Ice Dogs.

The 24-year-old goaltender accumulated a .913 save percentage in his three seasons of professional hockey and 2.83 goals against average (GAA). He played in the ECHL All-Star in 2005-06. Jaeger played 5 games with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL this season.
