The matchup of the two top teams in the Eastern Conference did not disappoint. A physical first period left both teams scoreless, but the Icemen turned on the offense in the second, snapping the Growlers' eight-game win streak. Kris Newbury recorded a goal for the second game in a row on the way to a 2-0 win and the first pro shutout for Mikhail Berdin.
