Royals Acquire F Marsh from Rapid City for Future Considerations

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced Wednesday the team has acquired forward Adam Marsh from Rapid City for future considerations. Standing 6-foot-1, 174 pounds, Marsh tallied two goals, seven points, 26 PIM and a plus-four rating in 11 games with the Rush. Marsh joins Reading as the team prepares for a road showdown at Wheeling Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.

A rookie from Clarendon Hills, IL, Marsh was selected in the seventh round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, 200th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings. Marsh skated in 19 games for Charlottetown (QMJHL) last campaign, scoring six goals and 15 points. Following a three-game stint at York University (2g), Marsh turned pro with Rapid City and registered an assist in five games.

Marsh played four seasons in the QMJHL for three teams (Saint John, Val-d'Or, Charlottetown), compiling 66 goals and 135 points in 168 games. He was drafted by Detroit after tying for first on Saint John with 24 goals (44 points) and 57 PIM in his first major junior season.

His father, Peter, played five seasons in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets.
