Elmira Jackals News Release

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, are getting set to host the 2nd Annual Spaghetti on Ice to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on Wednesday, March 5th, at First Arena in downtown Elmira. Fans will be allowed to enter the arena beginning at 5:45 p.m. with dinner service set for 6:05 p.m.

Admission to the event is in the form of a $12.00 donation to the MDA with children 5 and under admitted free. A Family 4-Pack is available for $40. Tickets are available at the Gray Street box office, the Holiday Inn (760 E. Water Street) or call the MDA at 723-7431.

In true Spaghetti-On-Ice fashion, the Jackals will serve as the wait staff on skates while wearing commemorative event jerseys that will be auctioned after the night's festivities. Jackals servers will present patrons with their spaghetti dinner. The fun then begins as players vie for the most tips from generous Jackals fans. Tips are obtained by offering exemplary service as well as by fans purchasing drinks, eating utensils, condiments, etc. from their Jackals server.

Following the dinner, there will be a silent auction that will feature several premium packages, a live jersey auction, photos and autograph session with the Jackals, and commemorative t-shirts that will be available for purchase.

All fans attending the event will receive an official 2008 Elmira Jackals "Spaghetti on Ice" puck. Proceeds from the dinner, auctions, and t-shirt sales go the local Muscular Dystrophy Association.
