
Coach Thomas And Falcons To Shave Their Heads On March 21 For St. Baldrick's Day

Fresno, CA...Coach Matt Thomas and the Fresno Falcons will host the Second Annual Fresno Falcons St. Baldrick's Day Celebration on Friday, March 21st at the Save Mart Center when the Falcons battle their arch rival the Evil Bakersfield Condors at 7:30pm. St. Baldrick's Day is an annual event where thousands of volunteers across the world shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family. Monies raised are donated to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, an organization that raises money to find a cure for pediatric cancer. Coach Matt Thomas (pictured above with a "before & after" look from last year) , Assistant Coach Ryan Mougenal, several Falcons players, front office personnel and several fans will shave their heads at center ice following the March 21st game vs the Condors. In the fall of 2006, Falcons Coach Matt Thomas created the Falcons Face Off Against Kids Cancer program, and used the 2007 St. Baldrick's Day Celebration as a launching party for this program. Since then dozens of area kids with Pediatric Cancer have been able to enjoy Falcons hockey games and community events with their families and Falcons hockey players. Each kid is paired with a Falcons player and the Falcons host post game meet and greets, along with holiday parties, proms, and other community gatherings.
The Falcons wish to thank Supercuts in advance for their annual support of St. Baldrick's Day. Supercuts stylists will be on hand at center ice following the March 21st contest to shave the heads of the St. Baldrick's Day Participants. The first 2000 fans at the March 21st game will also receive a free Falcons Hat courtesy of Supercuts.
