Jackals Goalie Sees Time With SoundTigers

Elmira Jackals News Release

Marco Emond and Jody Robinson were both recalled by the Bridgeport SoundTigers of the AHL before yesterday's game with the Binghamton Senators.

Emond would make his first career AHL appearance last night in the SoundTigers' 3-0 loss to Binghamton, allowing one goal on three shots in 5:20 of action. Emond was sent in after David St. Germain left with an injury late in the third period. Robinson was also recalled for the game but did not dress.

The game was Emond's 100th as a pro, which seems to be a coincidental number for pro appearances this season. Robinson's 100th professional game was also his first in the AHL, with Rochester back on December 20th. Both players were returned to Elmira following last night's action, and will be on the roster for tonight's game against the Adirondack IceHawks.

The Jackals face off with the IceHawks at 7 pm tonight, with good seats still available through the Coach USA Center Box Office. The team will leave after tonight's contest to go to Fort Wayne for a pair of away games against the Komets, both slated for 7:30 pm starts. Tune in all the Jackals Hockey Action on WiNGZ 104.9, with the Amplio Solutions pre-game show starting one half-hour before faceoff.
