Jackals Deal Makikyro For Draft Pick

The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have traded defenseman Antii Makikyro to the Muskegon Fury for a 4th round draft pick in the 2003 United Hockey League Amateur Draft.

Makikyro appeared in five games for the Jackals this season, recording no points or penalty minutes, and compiled an even plus/minus rating. The Oulu, Finland native left for Muskegon this morning, and is expected to arrive in time for the Fury's weekend action at Flint on Friday and Kalamazoo Saturday.

The Jackals take on the Adirondack IceHawks Thursday night at 7 pm at the Coach USA Center. Good seats are still available for the game, after which the club will head off to Fort Wayne, IN to battle the Komets in back to back road games Friday and Saturday night. Both games will start at 7:30 pm. Catch all the Jackals Hockey Action on WiNGZ 104.9, with the Amplio Solutions Pre-Game show starting one half-hour before faceoff.
