The Elmira Jackals try to earn their fourth-straight win when they host the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m. at First Arena. The Jackals are coming off of a 3-0 week that saw Elmira defeat Wheeling, Reading, and Trenton.
CLUTCH TIFU NEARS 400
Tonight's game is the 399th for Yannick Tifu in his professional career. The sixth-year pro from Brossard, Quebec scored his first two game-winning goals of the 2010-2011 season on Saturday and Sunday, breaking ties in the third period with 1:54 and 5:34 left in the two games respectively. Tifu leads the Jackals at +12 and is tied for sixth in the league with 57 points.
PLAYOFF WATCH
Elmira enters tonight's game tied with Cincinnati for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Jackals are two points behind Gwinnett for seventh place and have three games in hand on the Gladiators.
