The Elmira Jackals play the Kalamazoo Wings for the first of nine times this season at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena on DeMet's Turtle Toss Night. Tickets are limited, so fans are encouraged to purchase their seats as early as possible today by calling (607) 734-PUCK (7825), visiting the First Arena Box Office, or by logging onto JackalsHockey.com.
A NIGHT OF FIRSTS
Last night's regulation loss was Elmira's first on the road this season, as Stockton now remains as the only team that has taken points in every road game in 2010-2011. The Jackals also scored fewer than two goals for the first time this season in the 6-1 loss at Reading on Friday.
SCOUTING THE K-WINGS
Kalamazoo is off to a slow start this season after winning the North Division last season. The K-Wings are on a six-game losing streak, taking just one point in that stretch in a 6-5 shootout loss last night at Wheeling. Kalamazoo is led by head coach Nick Bootland who played for Malcolm Cameron in 2002-2003 with the Cincinnati Cyclones and in 2003-2004 with the UHL's Columbus Stars.
