Kucharski and Potacco Sign with Trenton

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Devils have signed forwards Kyle Kucharski and Mike Potacco. The announcement was made by Albany and Trenton General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

Kucharski, 23, returns to the Devils organization after playing 49 games for Trenton last season. A rookie in 2009-10, Kucharski accumulated 8 goals and 13 assists for 21 points and 36 penalty minutes. The Saugus, MA native played four seasons at Boston College (Hockey East) where he compiled 31 points in 112 games, appearing in 42 of the Golden Eagles' 44 games in 2007-08 en route to the NCAA Championship. As a senior in 2008-09, he appeared in all of BC's 37 games, recording 10 of his 15 career goals while capturing the James E. Tiernan Memorial Award as the team's most improved player. A left-handed shooter, the 6-3, 200-lb. forward was born March 6, 1987.

Potacco, 26, joins the Devils organization as a first-year pro, following four seasons at UMASS-Lowell (Hockey East) where he totaled 29 goals and 28 assists for 57 points and 63 penalty minutes in 132 games. Before college, the Kinnelon, NJ native played three seasons of junior hockey with the St. Michael's Buzzers (OPJHL) where he posted a career-best 72 points (38g, 34a) in 2004-05. A right-handed shooter, the 5-10, 185-lb. forward was born June 14, 1984.

Trenton hosts the Reading Royals at Sun National Bank Center Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
