IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals take to the road to meet the Trenton Titans at the Sun National Bank Center at 7:00 p.m. The Jackals look to make their way back into the win column after dropping the last three games while the Titans try to snap a four-game losing skid. Elmira returns home to First Arena on Saturday to host the Kalamazoo Wings. To reserve your seats to see the Jackals battle last season's Eastern Conference champions call (607) 734-PUCK, visit the First Arena Box Office, or log onto JackalsHockey.com.
ANOTHER SHORT-HANDED STRIKE
Elmira, which led the league in 2010-2011 with 18 short-handed goals, is atop the ECHL once again with three in 2011-2012, as Maxime Gratchev scored on a breakaway with the Jackals down a man in the third period on Saturday against South Carolina. Louie Caporusso and Mike Ratchuk have Elmira's other two short-handed tallies.
SCOUTING THE TITANS
Trenton has given up the most goals in the league this season on average, allowing 33 goals through seven games (4.71/contest). Andy Bohmbach, currently on recall to Adirondack, leads the Titans with six goals and is atop the league in shooting percentage at 50%, scoring all of his goals on just 12 shots. Trenton leads the ECHL in home power-play percentage at 27.8%.
