Forward Yannick Riendeau Assigned to Reading

Reading Royals News Release


Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Yannick Riendeau has been assigned by the Boston Bruins from the Providence Bruins of the AHL to Reading. In a separate transaction previously completed, Boston recalled defenseman Ryan Button and re-assigned him to the P-Bruins.

Riendeau, a third year pro from Boucherville, Quebec, was recalled to Providence on October 26, playing three games with the P-Bruins without registering any points or penalty minutes. In four games with Reading this year, Riendeau has scored a goal and assisted on another. Button was assigned to Reading on October 27. He played in three games for Reading last weekend without recording any points or penalty minutes.

The Royals are on the road for five straight starting tonight, Friday (November 4, 2011 @ 7:35 pm) in Greenville, South Carolina, against the Greenville Road Warriors. The game night broadcast will kick off at 7:05 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. As with all Royals road games, tomorrow's game in Greenville will be televised in Berks County on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
