Jackals Announce Transactions

Elmira Jackals News Release


The Elmira Jackals announced on Saturday that forward Riley Armstrong has been returned to the club by its AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. The Jackals also announced that the B-Sens have recalled goaltender Brian Stewart from Elmira and that the AHL's Peoria Rivermen have signed Jackals forward Mike Radja to a PTO.

In seven games with the Jackals in 2011-2012, Armstrong has scored two goals and added four assists for six points. He was loaned by Elmira to Binghamton on Nov. 17. With the B-Sens, Armstrong has a goal and two assists for three points in five games. Armstrong is an eighth-year pro from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Stewart, a second-year pro from Burnaby, British Columbia is 10-5-0-0 with Elmira this season with a .906 save percentage and a 3.16 goals-against average. He has not participated in a game with Binghamton in 2011-2012.

Radja leads the Jackals with 26 points (14g-12a) in 24 games this season. He has three games of AHL experience this year with Binghamton, notching an assist. This is the first stint with the Rivermen for Radja, a fourth-year pro from Yorkville, Ill.
