Dan Ringwald Returned from Oklahoma City

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announced defenseman Dan Ringwald (REENG-wald) has been returned to the Thunder from loan to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League on a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

Ringwald, 25, is expected to make his return to the lineup tonight when the Thunder hosts the Idaho Steelheads at 7:30 p.m. (1280 KWSX/StocktonThunder.com).

The 6-foot-2 and 190 pound blueliner left the Thunder on Nov. 18, leading the team's defensemen with five points (1g-4a) while posting eight penalty minutes in his first ten games.

He has suited up in seven games for Oklahoma City, collecting two assists and made his AHL debut on Nov. 3 at Abbotsford.

Ringwald signed by the Thunder as a free agent on Aug. 25, 2011. He skated last year under an AHL contract with Hartford/Connecticut and was loaned to the Thunder on Oct. 31, 2010. After making his ECHL debut with the Greenville Road Warriors, he finished the 2010-11 campaign leading all rookie Thunder defensemen with 23 points (1g-22a) in 61 games while totaling 27 penalty minutes.
