Isotopes' Series Finale at Omaha Rained Out

The series finale between the Albuquerque Isotopes (34-40) and the Omaha Storm Chasers(41-33) was rained out Friday night at Werner Park in Papillion, NE. Since this is the final meeting between the two clubs during the 2014 season, the game is lost to the schedule and will not be made up.

With the wash out, the Isotopes claimed a series win two games to one. After dropping game one of three-game set on Tuesday, Albuquerque won game two 10-5 on Wednesday and game three 5-0 on Thursday. Tim Federowicz hit .429 (6-for-14) in the three games with onedouble, three home runs, five runs scored and six RBI.

Up next, the Topes will travel to Iowa for a four-game set against the Cubs beginning Saturday at 6:05 p.m. MT. Right-hander Carlos Frias (4-4, 5.52 ERA) will take the hill for Albuquerque, and Iowa will send lefty Chris Rusin (4-9, 4.02 ERA).
