
Isotopes and United Blood Services to hold Blood Drive

Isotopes Park will be the site of the beginning of Albuquerque Isotopes -Hometown Heroes Week (May 24-May 30) at United Blood Services. The week kicks off on Monday as the United Blood Services bloodmobile will be parked outside Isotopes Park from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Blood donors will receive a special Hometown Heroes T-Shirt and a coupon for BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE ticket to the Isotopes game that night against the Tucson Sidewinders, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
"As part of this community, the Isotopes want to do their part to be sure we have a reliable supply of blood even during the holiday weekend," said John Traub, General Manager of the Isotopes. "We're asking you to help by giving blood."
Fans can also donate blood at any United Blood Services blood drive or donor center in the greater Albuquerque area during the week. Every volunteer who donates blood that week will be entered to win two tickets to the July 10 Isotopes - Memphis Redbirds game or one of these special items: an autographed Isotopes baseball, a pennant, or a signed "Louisville Slugger" baseball bat.
A press conference will be held at the United Blood Services Albuquerque Blood Donor Center (1515 University NE) on Monday at 10 AM. Orbit, the Isotopes mascot, will be on hand to donate blood.
