Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Sky Sox beat the Sidewinders 8-2, at Sky Sox Stadium. The Sox scored all 8 of their runs in the 3rd inning with starting pitcher Denny Stark helping his own cause hitting a 2-run double. Stark was brilliant pitching 7 innings with no hits, no runs, 9 strikeouts and 4 walks before being relieved by Scott Dohmann to begin the 8th inning. Sox shortstop Clint Barmes and leftfielder Jorge Piedra led the way for the Sox' offense combing to go 4-for-7 with 3 runs scored and an RBI. The Sox and Sidewinders return to action Friday night with Kevin Jarvis (0-0, 3.86) facing off against Phil Stockman (2-2,4.15).
