Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to take the series from the Pawtucket Red Sox on Wednesday morning. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is set for 10:35 a.m.

RHP Zach Eflin (3-0, 2.05) gets the ball for the Pigs in the series finale. The Orlando, Fla., native earned the win on April 27 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre when he allowed four hits while walking one and fanning six over 6.1 shutout IP. Eflin will be making his second start of the year against Pawtucket after getting a no-decision on April 22 when he allowed five runs on six hits to go along with eight strikeouts over his six innings of work. All five runs and six hits came in the first inning of that contest.

LHP Brian Johnson (1-2, 2.25) will be on the bump for manager Kevin Boles' squad on Wednesday morning. The southpaw got a no-decision on Friday at Syracuse after giving up one run on six hits while walking three and striking out six in 5.2 IP. Thus far in his four starts this season, Johnson has fanned 20 batters over his 20.0 IP.

With a multi-hit game on Tuesday night, Pigs OF Cam Perkins extended his hitting streak to 15 games which is the third longest in IronPigs franchise history. During the streak, Perkins is hitting .407-1-6 (22-54, 3 2B, 2 3B, 2 BB, 11 R, SB).

Wednesday is Education Day #1 at Coca-Cola Park with the early 10:35 a.m. start time.
