In their first meeting since the 2011 Governors' Cup Finals, the IronPigs (42-30) play Game One of a four-game series against the second-place Columbus Clippers (35-39) at Huntington Park... With a 7-4 win over the Mud Hens last night, the Pigs won the final two games to take the series at Toledo, 3-1. The Pigs have now won 11 of their last 15 games and are 14-6 in their last 20 contests. Lehigh Valley has started 3-1 on this eight-game, West Division road trip... The Clippers -- Cleveland's top affiliate -- lost 5-4 in 10 innings at Charlotte to split the four-game road series and finish 5-3 on a South Division road trip. The reigning Triple-A champs are 8-6 in their last 14 games; but after starting 17-13, they've gone just 18-26 in their 44 affairs since May 8.

LHP Tom Cochran (4-1, 3.52) will start for LHV against RHP Chris Schwinden (4-5, 2.70).

First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

MID-TERMS:

The Pigs are half-way point of the season with a 42-30 record -- on pace for an 84-60 record (which would be a 4-game improvement over last season's franchise-best 80-64 record). However, they were a game better at this point last season (43-29).

* At the 1/2-way point in the Huppert years, the Pigs had been a previous-best 34-38 (2009); 29-43 (2010) & 26-46 (2008).

* The Pigs are currently 2.0 GB of Pawtucket... At the half-point last season, they were 5.0 GA in the North Division.
