Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (38-57) play the opener of a four-game series against the West's second-place Indianapolis Indians (50-46) -- Pittsburgh's top affiliate. With a 5-4 loss last night, the 'Pigs dropped their four-game series (3-1) at Louisville Slugger Field and have started 1-3 on this eight-game, West Division road trip. Lehigh Valley is just 8-16 (.333) in its last 24 contests... Indianapolis enters having won two straight at Rochester to split their four-game series at Frontier Field. The streaky Indians have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games following a season-long, eight-game losing streak (which followed a five-game winning streak).
RHP Nate Bump (7-4, 2.48) will start for LHV against LHP Dana Eveland (0-1, 15.75).
First-pitch tonight is at 7 p.m. at Victory Field.
