
Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn to Appear at DBAP July 26th

Durham, NC - The Durham Bulls today announced Baseball Hall of Fame Outfielder Tony Gwynn will appear at the Durham Bulls game on Monday, July 26th when the Bulls take on the Syracuse Chiefs at 7:05 PM. Gwynn will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans courtesy of the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Gwynn fashioned a stellar 20-year career with the San Diego Padres where he collected 3,141 career hits, a lifetime .338 batting average and eight batting crowns, an NL record he shares with Honus Wagner. He also won five outfield Gold Glove Awards, amassed 319 career stolen bases and garnered 15 All-Star Game selections in his career.
Gwynn is currently the head baseball coach at San Diego State University, his alma mater, and until recently was a part-time analyst for ESPN.
