Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (29-44) play Game One of a four-game series against the first-place Durham Bulls (43-30) -- Tampa's top affiliate. With a 5-3 loss yesterday, the 'Pigs lost three straight games in Norfolk to drop the four-game series and have started just 1-3 on this eight-game, South Division road trip. Even so, the Pigs have managed to go 11-11 in their last 22 affairs... Durham -- which has the second-best record in the IL (.589) -- returns home after losing, 9-1, at Indy last night. The Bulls split their last two series and finished just 4-5 on a nine-game road trip. They're 21-11 at home this season.
RHP Nate Bump (6-3, 2.62) will start for LHV against RHP Jeremy Hellickson (9-2 2.33).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
Home Away from Home!: The Pigs are 7-1 (.825) all-time at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, including a sweep in '09.
