The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to make it two in a row when they battle the Rochester Red Wings on Sunday afternoon. First pitch from Frontier Field is set for 1:35 p.m.
RHP Jason Berken (4-5, 3.50) gets the ball for manger Dave Brundage's squad on Sunday. Berken got the loss on Sunday vs. Louisville when he gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits while walking three and fanning four over six innings of work. In 7 GS this season, the right-hander is 3-2 with a 2.31 ERA.
LHP Taylor Rogers (7-4, 2.96) will take the hill for the Red Wings. Rogers' last start came back on June 24 at Pawtucket when he got a no-decision after allowing two runs on five hits while fanning three in 6.1 IP. The southpaw was ranked as the No. 15 prospect in the MIN system according to Baseball America entering the season.
Since being promoted from Double-A Reading, Pigs OF Aaron Altherr has hit safely in 10 of his 12 games. In that time, Altherr is hitting .333 (15-45)-2-10 with three doubles, a triple and 11 runs scored. The 24-year-old was also named the Phillies' Minor League Player of the Month for June.
