
Bats Unable to Reach .500 with Loss to Indians, 3-1

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The Louisville Bats (41-43) missed an opportunity to reach .500 after the loss to the Indianapolis Indians (50-34) tonight, 3-1, at Victory Field.
Indians third baseman Pedro Florimon hit a two run homer in the fourth inning to take the lead, 2-1.
Rehabber righty Raisel Iglesias (L, 1-3, 3.41) started on the mound for the Bats and took his first loss since being back with the Bats. He went four and two thirds, gave up four hits, allowed two runs, both earned, struck out seven, and allowed one homerun.
Righty Angel Sanchez (W, 3-0, 2.88) pitched for the Indians and remains undefeated. He went seven innings, gave up seven runs, allowed one run earned, and struck out seven.
The Bats lonely score was from an RBI double from first baseman Kyle Waldrop to score left fielder Brennan Boesch who continued his hitting streak tonight to 13 games.
The Indians had their insurance run from a Tony Sanchez single to secure their win, 3-1.
Tomorrow at 7:05 pm the Bats and Indians continue at Victory Park. Projected to pitch for the Bats lefty David Holmberg (4-6, 4.78) and for the Indians righty Radhames Liz (1-1, 0.63).
