INDIANAPOLIS -- Pedro Florimon homered, Angel Sanchez won his third straight start and the Indianapolis Indians (50-34) became the first 50-win team in the International League with a 3-1 victory over the Louisville Bats (41-43) Sunday night at Victory Field.

Triple-A rookie Sanchez (3-0) scattered seven hits over seven innings, allowing a lone run on a double in the fourth. He also struck out seven with no walks and has now combined for 16 strikeouts, two walks and one earned run in 14 innings over his last two starts.

Florimon picked up Tony Sanchez with a line-drive homer to right that gave the Indians a 2-1 lead in the fourth. Sanchez hit away from the shift two innings later with a single down the first-base line that scored Jaff Decker.

Reliever Bobby LaFromboise struck out one in the eighth and Blake Wood stranded a single in the ninth for the save.

Through 84 games, the All-Star Wood has converted four more saves than any reliever in the IL and his 21 saves in 23 chances are tied for the most in a single season for the Indians since 2012.
