Aberdeen IronBirds News Release
Aberdeen, MD - The Baltimore Orioles announced today that 2011 fourth-round draft choice Kyle Simon has been added to the Aberdeen IronBirds roster. Catcher Kyle Moore has also been transferred from the Class-A Delmarva Shorebirds to Aberdeen.
Simon just wrapped up his junior season at the University of Arizona. He was an All-Pac-10 honoree after going 11-3 with a 2.72 ERA. Simon sported an 86-to-11 strikeout to walk ratio.
The IronBirds begin a two-game home stand Tuesday night against the Brooklyn Cyclones (Class-A Short-Season affiliate of the New York Mets). First pitch for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The Aberdeen IronBirds sold out season tickets for the 10th straight season. Group packages and single-game tickets, however, are still available for the 2011 season. For ticket information, contact our box office at (410) 297-9292 or visit us online at www.IronBirdsbaseball.com.
