DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Cubs (16-27) beat the Omaha Storm Chasers (31-14) 4-3 in walk-off fashion, Friday at Principal Park.

The home run came in the second inning, when Erick Mejia hit a two-run shot to put Omaha up 2-0. Nick Martini answered with a solo shot of his own, cutting the lead in half.

Emmanuel Rivera doubled in the top of the third to bring the Storm Chasers' lead back to two. The game stayed 3-1 in Omaha's favor until the bottom of the sixth when Taylor Gushue hit an RBI single and the I-Cubs scored on a wild pitch to tie it.

Iowa's bullpen kept Omaha's bats silent, throwing four shutout innings, allowing just one hit combined. Ben Leeper earned his first Triple-A win, striking out four of the five batters he retired.

The I-Cubs loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth and with one out, Erick Castillo drove in the game winning run from third base to secure a 4-3 walk-off victory.
