COLORADO SPRINGS (Aug. 3, 2015) - The Iowa Cubs (59-50) scored six runs in the eighth and four more runs in the ninth to cap a furious rally to beat the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (43-64) 12-10 in Pacific Coast League action Monday night at Security Service Field. The win was Iowa's fifth in a row, and gives the I-Cubs a series victory.
Trailing 7-2, Iowa exploded for six runs in the top of the eighth inning, highlighted by a three-RBI triple from John Andreoli to take an 8-7 lead.
Iowa lost the lead in the bottom of the eighth when the Sky Sox tagged lefty reliever Joe Ortiz (3-1) for three runs on four hits.
However, Iowa rallied again in the top of the ninth, scoring four more runs, capped by a bases-clearing double from Baez to take the lead for good.
