D-Backs Announce Romak, Marshall with Reno Honors

RENO - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) announced July awards for Reno Aces (@Aces) infielder Jamie Romak and pitcher Evan Marshall (@emarsh31) today.

Romak, 29, was named as the Aces Player of the Month. In 26 games in July, he hit .284 (25-for-88) with 27 RBI, 16 runs scored, 16 walks, 7 home runs, 7 doubles and 1 triple. The 27 RBI is tied for sixth-most in a single month in Aces history. It also marks the third consecutive month in which Romak has had at least 25 RBI.

Marshall, 25, was named as the Aces Pitcher of the Month. In 11 appearances, all out of the bullpen, Marshall was 1-0 with a 3.27 ERA. In 11 innings, he yielded 9 hits and 5 walks to go along with 9 strikeouts. He held opponents to a .209 batting average.

The Aces are on a nine-game road trip to El Paso and Tacoma, and return home for a four-game series on Tuesday, August 11 when they host the Salt Lake Bees at 7:05 p.m.
