Intimidators Return for 8-Game Home Stand Starting Tonight

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (May 5, 2011) -- The Kannapolis Intimidators, the Class-A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, return to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium tonight to begin an eight-game home stand against the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox) and Lexington Legends (Houston Astros). Kannapolis (14-10) is looking to bounce back after dropping three games in Hickory earlier this week. The Intimidators will kick off the week with a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the ballpark on Thirsty Thursday, featuring great drink specials at the ballpark.

Thursday, May 5 -- Thirsty Thursday 7:05 p.m.

Join the Intimidators for several great promotions during this home stand, including a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Thirsty Thursday, May 5, with great drink specials all night long. In addition to our regular Thirsty Thursday drink specials (featuring 16 oz. PBR for $1.50 and a 24 oz. refillable cup for $5.00 with $2.00 refills), we will also have Bud Light Lime and Corona on special. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the ballpark with us. Sodas and waters are also only $2.00 for Thirsty Thursday.

Friday, May 6 -- Post-Game Fireworks presented by Freightliner 7:05 p.m.

Join us on Friday night for a post-game fireworks show, presented by Freightliner, as the Intimidators continue their four-game series against the Greenville Drive. Friday night is also Apartment Night, so if you're looking for a new place to live, check out some of the properties that will be on-site to promote their locations. Intimidators mascot Tim E. Gator will also be joined by several of his mascot friends as Mascot Mania comes to the ballpark for the 2011 season.

Saturday, May 7 -- Post-Game Fireworks presented by Centralina Orthopaedic 7:05 p.m.

The Intimidators will light up the sky on Saturday night with a post-game fireworks show. That night, we will also be welcoming the Skybrook community to the ballpark, along with Charity Youth Athletics.

Sunday, May 8 -- Kids Day presented by Zammitti Orthodontics 5:05 p.m.

Fans can get autographs from Intimidators players before the game, and kids can run the bases after the game. Kids can also play in the Dave & Busters Ballpark Midway at Sunday games this season. Celebrate Mother's Day at the ballpark by giving mom what she really wants: an evening at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium!

Monday, May 9 -- Belly Buster Monday 7:05 p.m.

Enjoy All-You-Can-Eat food at the Main Concession Stand for only $10 (excludes drinks & candy).

Tuesday, May 10 -- KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets 7:05 p.m.

Take advantage of our KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets Offer on Tuesday, May 10, by bringing any KRAFT Singles proof of purchase to the box office to receive a free ticket with purchase of a ticket. Play Baseball Bingo on Senior Night. This is also the first of twoChurch Nights the Intimidators will host this season.

Wednesday, May 11 -- Education Day #2 10:05 a.m.

Local classrooms of children will descend upon Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium on Wednesday morning for our second Education Day of the season. Join us on Wednesday, May 11, for brunch time baseball starting at 10:05 a.m.

Thursday, May 12 -- Thirsty Thursday 7:05 p.m.

The home stand wraps up the way it started, with a fun-filled Thirsty Thursday sponsored by Southern Select Community Credit Union on Thursday, May 12. Enjoy drink specials all game long.
