
Intimidators Club Grasshoppers 10-5 In Series Opening Win

Greensboro, NC - The Intimidators received home runs from Christian Marrero (3rd) and Logan Johnson (11th) in a 10-5 win in Greensboro. It?s the third straight victory for the Intimidators (5-3).
Kannapolis struck first with a RBI single from Jim Gallagher in the first inning. In the second, Sergio Miranda drove in two with a bases loaded single before Dale Mollenhauer followed with a RBI one-bagger to make it 4-1.
In the third inning, Nick Mahin drove in three on a bases loaded double. Mahin scored on a Miranda single to follow for a four run fourth inning. Marrero added his blast in the seventh and Johnson went yard in the ninth for insurance.
Dale Mollenhauer led the way with a 4-for-5 night with two doubles driving in and scoring a run. Nick Mahin and Sergio Miranda each drove in three runs in the win.
On the mound, Jason Rice earned his fourth straight win tossing five innings and giving up two runs on ten hits. Rice is 5-5.
The Intimidators continue the roadtrip tomorrow night at 7:00pm in Greensboro against the Grasshoppers in the second game of a four-game series.
The Intimidators are back at home Monday night against Lexington, but tomorrow night Team USA takes on Chinese Taipei in an international exhibition from Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. For tickets call 704-932-FANS or go online to intimidatorsbaseball.com.
