Inferno win Game two, 6-4 at the Carolina Coliseum

COLUMBIA, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl trail their best-of-five Divisional Semi-Final Series two-games-to-none after a 6-4 loss to the Columbia Inferno in front of 1,538 at the Carolina Coliseum Friday night. Greenville hosts Game 3 Monday night at 7:05 PM (Newsradio 1330 & 950, WORD).

The Grrrowl opened a 1-0 lead just 60 seconds into the game when TYLER DEIS beat Patrick Couture with a slapshot to the glove side. Corey Hessler's powerplay goal tied the game 1-1 at 9:11, before CHRIS LYNCH gave Greenville a 2-1 lead at 11:45. Another powerplay goal from Trevor Demmans made it 2-2 after 20 minutes.

RICO FATTICCI gave Greenville a 3-2 lead at 9:33 of the second period, before Sean Owens tied it again, 3-3, at 14:30. The Inferno took their first lead, 4-3, with another powerplay goal from Barrie Moore with 1:36 remaining in the second period, and Columbia took a one-goal lead into the second intermission.

MATT DEMARSKI tied the game 4-4 with a powerplay goal early in the third period, but Sean Owens (13:43) and Matt Ulwelling (18:41) iced the game for Columbia, 6-4. MICHAEL GARNETT stopped 35 of 41 shots, as the Grrrowl were outshot 41-26.

Games 3 & 4 (if necessary) will be played at the BI-LO Center next Monday and Tuesday (4/7 & 4/8) nights at 7:05 PM (Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD). Individual tickets for the first round games on the 7th and 8th are on sale now. Individual tickets are $1 more than regular season prices...$22, $17, $15, $11, and $7.
