Chiefs' Dominic Forget Named Sher-Wood Player Of The Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Johnstown center Dominic Forget is the Sher-Wood East Coast Hockey League Player of the Month for March.

The 22-year-old Forget led Johnstown in March with nine assists and 14 points in 11 games while ranking second on the team in plus/minus with +12 despite missing the final two games after being loaned to Cleveland of the American Hockey League.

The 6-0 and 180-pound Forget led the Chiefs with 39 assists and 62 points while tying for the team lead in goals with 23 and ranking second in plus/minus with +12.

The 23 goals, 39 assists and 62 points are all professional highs for Forget. He began his professional career in 2001-02 scoring five points (4g-1a) in eight games with Austin in the Central Hockey League before joining Louisiana in the ECHL. He scored 24 points (12g-12a) in 62 regular season games and two points (0g-2a) in five Kelly Cup Playoffs games with the IceGators.

Forget played four full seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1997-2001 and two games in 2001-02. He scored 141 points (47g-94a) in 71 regular season games and nine points (4g-5a) in 10 postseason games in 2001-02 after scoring 116 points (38g-78a) in 67 regular season games and 20 points (2g-18a) in 13 postseason games in 2000-01.
