IceMen Add Returning Talent, Promising Rookie to Blue Line

Jacksonville, FL - The Jacksonville Icemen announced today the return of defenseman Chris Dienes from AHL affiliate Manitoba Moose, as well as the addition of rookie defenseman Jack Glover.

Dienes, 24, has 28 points (5G, 23A) with a plus-two rating for the Icemen in 56 games this season and appeared in one game for the Moose. The Traverse City, MI native represented Jacksonville in the 2018 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic in January, recording two points (1G, 1A) for the South Division.

Glover, 21, will be making his debut in the ECHL having amassed 23 points (4G, 19A) with a plus-24 rating in 105 games for the University of Minnesota (NCAA). Prior to his collegiate career, Glover spent two years with the U.S. National Development Team Program, playing in 61 USHL games. He skated in 19 games with the U.S. Under-17 Team and 33 games with the U.S. Under-18 team, on his way to earning a bronze medal at the 2013 World Under-17 Challenge and a gold medal with Team USA at the 2014 IIHF Under-18 World Championship. The 6'3" Golden Valley, MN native was selected in round 3 of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by Jacksonville's NHL affiliate, the Winnipeg Jets (#69 overall).

The Icemen are four games into a seven-game road stretch and continue play tomorrow, March 23rd, in Greenville at 7:00 p.m. Jacksonville is making a strong push for the playoffs, sitting only 6-points behind 4th place Atlanta for the final spot in the South.
