Muratore Joins Mallards on Tryout

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards have signed defenseman Tommy Muratore to an amateur tryout agreement, the Mallards announced today.

Muratore, 23, joins the Mallards after completing his senior season at Holy Cross earlier this month. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Mendham, New Jersey native scored once and added seven assists in 32 games this season.

Muratore totaled four goals, 30 assists and 34 points in 139 games over his four years as a Crusader. He served as an assistant captain each of the last two seasons and was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team after both his sophomore and junior years.

Muratore arrived at Holy Cross after spending two seasons in the junior ranks with the Middlesex Islanders in the Eastern Junior Hockey League and the Islanders Hockey Club in the United States Premier Hockey League.

The Mallards return to action on the road Friday night against the Tulsa Oilers. The Mallards next play at home Wednesday night, April 4 at 6:35 p.m. against the Rapid City Rush. All seats for the April 4 game are available for just $5.

Tickets for the April 4 game- and all remaining Mallards regular season home games- are also now on sale at the TaxSlayer Center box office, Ticketmaster toll free charge-by-phone (1-800-745-3000) and ticketmaster.com. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
